About us
Milperra Public School is a vibrant NSW Government primary school in Sydney’s south-west, welcoming children from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Our school has a proud history. It was first established in 1918 as a school for the children of returned servicemen from World War I. Originally located on Bullecourt Avenue, the school moved to its current home on Pozieres Avenue in 1975.
At Milperra PS, our guiding belief is simple: “Children, teachers, parents and the community working together for our future.” We value strong partnerships with families and the wider community, as we know children learn best when we work together.
We are proud of our strong academic, sporting, and cultural traditions. Every child is encouraged to develop their unique talents, interests, and abilities so they can reach their full potential. Our teachers focus on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while also catering to the individual learning needs of every student. Above all, we provide a safe, supportive, and positive environment where children feel happy and ready to learn.
Learning at Milperra PS covers all six Key Learning Areas of the NSW Primary Curriculum:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science and Technology
- Human Society and Its Environment
- Creative Arts
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
Our school is well-resourced, with modern, air-conditioned classrooms, a library, hall, computer lab, and audio-visual room. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard to support engaging, 21st-century learning.
