3Bridges (OOSH)

Milperra PS has an on-site outside of school hours care (OOSH) service - 3Bridges, who operate before and after school. They provide care during school holidays and school development days, known as vacation care.

3Bridges Out of School Hours Care is part of 3Bridges, a registered not for profit organisation. Their goal is to provide a high quality service for school aged children from Kindergarten to Year 6, in a stimulating, comfortable and supportive play-based learning environment while allowing them to aid important social and community support for those most in need.

Our approach to OOSH

Our programs have been designed by qualified educators to be fun, stimulating and engaging, enhancing children’s learning through play. We are committed to the My Time Our Place school age learning framework and National Quality Standards practices by ensuring:

• Children have a strong sense of identity feel safe, secure and supported
• Children feel connected with and contribute to their world by having a sense of belonging to groups and communities
• Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
• Children are confident and involved learners
• Children are effective communicators

Before and after school care

Our before and after school OOSH service is available to all children who attend our school. We offer breakfast and afternoon tea for students attending. 58 place before & after school care for children 5-12 years at school.

Hours

• Monday-Friday, 7:00-8::45 AM and 2:45-6:00 PM (during school term only).

• Building and hand-on activities

Vacation care

Our OOSH vacation care service is available to all K-6 children. You do not need to be enrolled at our school to attend our OOSH vacation care service.  We offer breakfast and afternoon tea for students attending.

• 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (during school holidays and school development days).

• Our OOSH educators have current Working with Children Checks and are trained in first aid .

• Many of our staff hold qualifications in early childhood and 'Out of School Care' degrees from Tafe.
