High Potential and Gifted Education

At Milperra Public School, we believe that every student can demonstrate high potential when provided with the right opportunities, support and challenge. Our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) practices are designed to recognise, nurture and develop studentsā€™ strengths, talents and passions across a range of areas.

HPGE at Milperra is inclusive, flexible and responsive. We focus on talent development over time, ensuring students are supported academically, socially and emotionally as they grow.

What is HPGE?

High potential students are those who demonstrate the capacity to perform at a level significantly beyond their age peers in one or more domains. Gifted students are those whose potential has been developed to a level of high performance.
