Useful Information

Milperra Public School is a New South Wales Government Primary School located in the south west of Sydney, catering for students from Kindergarten through to Year Six.

It was established in 1918 as a soldier settlement school for children of returned servicemen from World War I. The school was initially located in Bullecourt Ave and moved to its present site in Pozieres Ave in 1975.

The school's statement of purpose is "Children, teachers, parents and the community working together for our future". This statement underpins the rationale for educational development at the school. We aim to develop the individual talents, interests and abilities, which will enable students to reach their full potential.

The school is able to draw upon community commitment in both scholastic and sporting activities. The school has strong academic, sporting and cultural traditions. Particular emphasis is placed upon developing student literacy and numeracy skills, catering for the individual needs of students, and providing a safe, secure, positive and productive learning environment.

Lessons are conducted in each of the six Key Learning Areas of the Primary Curriculum: English; Mathematics; Human Society and Its Environment; Science and Technology; Creative Arts; and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.

The school is well-resourced, with air-conditioned classrooms, a hall, library, audio-visual room and computer lab. An interactive whiteboard is installed in every classroom.

For all enrolment enquiries please contact the school office on 9773-8112 anytime throughout the year.
