A recap of camp by Mikayla Metcalfe.
We all got on the bus excited and ready for our camp to Canberra. Being as excited as we were no one slept on the bus. We whispered then talked then yelled until the noise was brought back to a whisper. the first place we stopped at, we stopped for recess. Everyone had to take in the fact that we were in a totally different state to our families and siblings (how thankful we were for that). After we hopped back on the bus, until we arrived at the War Memorial. Everyone learnt new things and paid their respects to the soldiers. After the War Memorial we went to New Parliament House. We met with our local member Jason Clare and got a tour of the building, we even saw some politicians sitting. After we visited the hotel, dropped our stuff and went to Telstra Tower. We were around 800 metres above sea level. once we'd seen everything there we went back to our hotel and let's just say we were excited! The next morning, after we were rested we headed straight to Questacon! There were so many science facts and interactive activities. After we arrived at Old Parliament House, we did a role play and had a tour of the museum. Then we hopped back on the bus, and let's just say we weren't filled with as much energy as we were at the start of our bus trip and we slept and talked and slept until we arrived back outside the school gates at 6:
20pm.
